Stuff like this is why the NBA and their damn owner and Players need to settle their differences and end this lockout. If more stuff like this was done in The Dunk Contest, then we wouldn't need players to jump over cars and such. Paul George has serious lift.

I've never been much of a phone person. I've had a cell phone ever since I can remember. I even remember talking on the phone back in the day via the house phone. But It's just never really been my thing. I hate awkward silences. I hate long pauses. I work with phones now. I just want to thank my job for reiterating to me exactly why I hate telephones.

One of my favorite books. Ever. It's an easy read. You can literally finish it in one day.


Paulo Coelho has a weird way of telling this story but everyone who has read this tells me how much it relates to them. Definitely give it a go if you have the time.

Socially Acceptable

Somehow The image of a superhero has become something that just belongs in our society. Maybe I'm not being too clear...it's like Batman and Superman are so world renowned that they have become socially acceptable. No one can ever say anything bad about Batman or Superman. I kid you not, if you were to put on the news and the headline read "Man dressed as Batman steals Diapers from Target", no one would frown on that. They'd laugh...but no one would have an outrage over it because they have somehow become a part of our lifestyle. I came across this painting and just fell in love with it.



The artist's name is Amanda Visell and she has tons of other great paintings. Check out some of her other stuff Here.

PS: On a more random note. I have this thing with Unicorns. I wish they were real. Since they aren't. Stuff like this keeps my hopes alive.

Pet Peeve

I'm not the most elegant person in the world and believe me I don't want to be. I have some pet peeves and I may not be the most educated person, but believe me when I say I have nothing but knowledge to seek. One of my biggest annoyances are grammar. When people misuse certain words or when people AOL talk/text me...you know..the whole "h3y h0w @r3 u"...Yeah that stuff irritates the hell out of me. I may not be using "Eloquence" correctly but please take into consideration that some of us actually like to see well written and structured sentences. I'm done.
